1. Disconnect TikTok or Instagram
Disconnecting stops TryThisTime from accessing that account. We delete the stored access tokens for it, and nothing more can be published to it.
In TryThisTime
- Sign in to TryThisTime.
- Go to Settings → Social Accounts.
- Find the TikTok or Instagram account and choose Disconnect.
In TikTok
Open the TikTok app and go to Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions, select TryThisTime and remove access.
In Instagram
Open Instagram and go to Profile → Menu → Settings and activity → Website permissions → Apps and websites, select TryThisTime and remove it. If you connected through a Facebook Page, you can also remove TryThisTime in Facebook under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations.
Menu names can vary slightly between app versions.
2. Request account and data deletion
Email privacy@trythistime.com from the email address on your TryThisTime account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Let us know whether you want the whole workspace deleted or only your own user account.
- We may reply to confirm the request comes from you before deleting anything.
- We act on deletion requests within 30 days and email you when it’s done.
- If you’ve never had an account but sent us an access request, you can ask us to delete that request in the same way.
3. What we delete and what we keep
We delete
- Your account details, such as your name, email address and sign-in information.
- Content in your workspace: videos, images, audio, captions, drafts and settings.
- Access tokens and data received from connected TikTok, Instagram and affiliate accounts.
- Tracking-link and performance data linked to you or your workspace.
- Any access request you sent us.
We keep, only where required
- Billing, invoicing and accounting records, for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Limited security and audit records, for as long as needed to protect the service and meet legal obligations.
- A record that we received and completed your deletion request.
Anything we keep is restricted to those purposes and deleted when it’s no longer required. Posts you’ve already published stay on TikTok or Instagram until you remove them there — they’re on your accounts, and we can’t delete them for you once you disconnect.
